Student Horizons, Inc. is currently developing a website, Beyond
the Books, to launch in the first quarter of 2006. The site
will fill the need for a comprehensive database of information
for future and current college students to find experiential
learning opportunities that will enhance and define their educational
experience.
This site will feature detailed profiles on many colleges and
universities that provide exemplary and unique learning experiences
that take students outside the classroom. These experiences
include hands-on opportunities such as internships, research
projects, study abroad, service-learning, living-learning communities,
and much more. This site will aim to put those programs in one
place for quick and easy student access.
Each school's profile will include up to 8 pages depending on
their programs. Participation is free of charge for Colleges
of Distinction schools. |
